Year of the Graduate

We have another family gathering celebrating graduates. Kineshia and Murray James are both graduating from High School. We wish them both well in their futures.

School's out for the summer!

My favourite season of the year has begun. I really enjoy the time the kids are home for the summer. I cherish the time I am able to spend with them . Hope you too enjoy your summer and take lots of photos to scrap during the winter months.

Toronto Zoo

We just got home from Jenna's grade 5 field trip to the Toronto Zoo. We had great weather and a wonderful day. Will have to scrapbook the pictures on the Basic Grey Zoo paper I bought at Great Lakes Mega Meet in Novi.

Plan B- What to do when someone borrows the stamp set you were going to use

I have to admit, this card is a plan B. My friend Carolyn borrowed the stamp set I was going to use for her son's graduation/birthday card so I pulled out my long forgotten Stampin Around Star wheel and the matching Stampin Up large star punch. Jenna chose the colours and wheeled the card front for me and I can't believe how quickly this card and matching envelope came together.
Congratulations on your grade 8 Graduation and Happy Birthday Mackenzie! Way to go. We are so proud of you!

Card for a newlywed couple

We were invited to a reception to honour a newlywed couple this weekend. As a family we presented them with a framed copy of their wedding picture and added this card to the gift.

I have the new Stampin Up colours and catalogue in my hot little hands. I've looked through it twice already but its time to go to bed. I am impressed. I love the way the colour families are displayed in the front of the book and lots of things on my wish lists. Thank goodness for me there are enough of my favourites still in this year's book.

New catalogue coming today oops Thursday

I'm excited. I thought today was Thursday. I'm expecting my copy of Stampin Up's new catalogue to arrive with my preorder of the new in colours. Probably won't arrive until after I go to work so will have to wait til I get home at 11:30.

Wow June has crept up on me!

June has crept up on me and although I have lots of cards in my stash there are some special people I want to acknowlege and just can't find the right card. I finished the 2 cards from earlier posts this evening but still have to make one for my dear friend Carolyn and my son for their birthdays and my husband for our anniversary. He never forgets ours because our son Aaron was born on our first anniversary. I will post each card as they are completed.

For Alysha's Graduation

My sister's oldest, Alysha is graduating from Wilfred Laurier University on Friday so I used the Stampin Up's Great Grad set was perfect to mark the special occassion. Notice the horseshoe for good luck hanging from the medallion peeking through the front of the card.
Congratulations Alysha, we are all proud of you.

Happy Birthday Eliz

I had intended to post this card last night for a dear friend but didn't finish the card. I called her today to wish her Happy Birthday and didn't want her to think I forgot about her card.
