Here is a layout I started at Carolyn's on Friday and finished with the kids Saturday evening. We stamped the title using foam stamps and craft paint. Some of the letters were missing so Aaron came up with a creative way of only painting part of the k for an h.

I had the "bestest" kind of birthday
I spent this morning cleaning the house but this afternoon I was blown away by all the birthday wishes I received. Thanks so much to everyone who emailed, called, sang, gave me gifts and came to dinner. Now everything is done I think I may have a chance to scrapbook. This is the "bestest" kind of birthday

Snow is blowing Its a scrapping kind of day
Its movie night tonight so I'll settle down under a blanket with the kids cuddling around me. Making our own homemade pizza for dinner. There's no better way to spend a snowy, blowy evening.
.Scraplifted Bri's layout and added 2nd page. BE MINE title was downloaded from a very generous group of Wishblade users. Faux stitched around large photos with pattern tracing wheel and red Sakura gel pen. Also stamped XOXO across photo of the kids.
Glamour Girls- layered Chatterbox flowers finished with a little glitter and stamped title
Jenna participated in her first skating carnival a few weeks ago. The skate is a Deluxe Designs die cut I'd been saving for just the right page. Used my stamps again for the title. Left page is of the rehersal and right one of the performance complete with spotlights.

Went to a card class tonight
I went to a card class tonight at Heather's and really enjoyed it.
Made another version of the magic card, a double slider, crayon resist, a wiper card and floral embossed card. Too cool.
Here is a link to Heather's blog. Scroll down to Feb. 13th entry for some of the cards we did. Stamp With Heather
Lots of great ideas. Certainly worth keeping an eye on.

Valentines Cards
The kids & I made cards to take to school for Valentine's Day. I also worked on a trifold card. It is made with a 3.5" X 10.5" piece of cardstock scored every 3.5 inches. The outside pieces are scored and folded diagonally. Then they are folded in to meet in the center of the card. I put a valentine's image on either side of the folded sides and the greeting stamped and layered on the inside of the card. ( The only thing is that the front and first inside image appear sideways. This would probably work better with a flower or other image that didn't matter which side was up.
Postscript: Saw the same idea on Splitcoaststampers today using flowers.

Had a scrapping day yesterday
It was a pd day today so Carolyn and the kids came over to play. We did a little scrapping and a lot of talking. Carolyn was working an a Disney Autograph book as a gift for a friend and I scraplifted a Valentine's layout. Eliz and Lizz stopped by to drop over some stamping up catalogues for my book party and to show us an ABC baby book they did at a class. I love it when my scrapping buddies stop by.
I had a brainwave. I'm going to go through some of my past catalogues and copy the cardfronts with the exception of the stamping so I have cards almost ready to go when I need them Then I just have to stamp the image and greeting and voila. Quick no stress cards.

Its finally here!
My mailman stopped me in the middle of the street last night as I was on my way to skating with my daughter. He had my new wishblade for me. Didn't get a chance to play last night but I sure will hook it up and play when I get home today.
